Canonical Green

Published:

Canonical Green is a climate-tech startup that is built on our weather-routing research. Its product, Green Navigation, works like a Google Maps for the sea: it uses weather and ocean data to choose routes that use less fuel. I’m the COO.

Some milestones:

  • Opentop acceleration program (2023). Our first pilot, with Boluda Towage, simulated and optimized real tugboat routes using validated consumption models. In the simulations we cut GHG emissions by about 10% on those routes.
  • Missions València 2030 (2023). I took the project to the call and pitched it to the jury. It was ranked first and received €93,362.84, awarded to Canonical Green.
  • European Parliament (June 2023). I pitched Green Navigation there through The Arch programme.
  • Prototypes for Humanity (Dubai, 2024). Green Navigation was selected among 100 innovations from more than 2,000 submissions.
  • The Conversation Weekly (2025). I talked about Green Navigation and low-emission shipping on the podcast.
